Murdering Opportunity

I was reflecting on how an act of courage at the appropriate time can create infinite opportunities. I played a game in my mind where I allowed myself to consider what might’ve happened had I done a certain thing at a certain time. But, alas, I had not.

Then I considered several key points in my life, where I had made the cowardly choice and eliminated whatever possibilities may have been created had I done the courageous thing then.

Yes, I was courageous many times, and those courageous acts created the path of my life as it is, but I can see many crucial times when an act of courage would’ve created an unimaginable reality that will never be. Instead, I see a killing field of murdered opportunity.
