Sylvyn Aaron was born on July 3, 2009. He came a little earlier than expected, so his birth happened during a seminar James and Sarah gave in Gottsdorf, Germany.
Sylvyn came out into the world effortlessly in an unassisted childbirth. James caught him, while Sarah was kneeling in front of the bathtub. It was a wonderful experience, simple, natural and strong.
Now Sylvyn is one year old and we look back on a great, joyous and challenging year. Sylvyn is a very active, alive, healthy and happy child, exploring the world day by day. We make sure he always has someone who cares for him as we don't want him to feel alone and helpless. Most of the time Sarah is with him and there are also several other wonderful people who have cared for him and loved him since he was born.
Sylvyn is growing up with three languages; English, German and Swiss German. We are curious to hear what his first word will be.
We have seen through working with people what a damaging effect the word 'No" can have on a child, so we are trying to give Sylvyn the experience of growing up without hearing "No". It is an experiment, but so far it feels very good and seems to work.
Sylvyn is included in everything Sarah and James do and is also part of the Deep Living groups whenever he wants to be.
We love Sylvyn very much and are very grateful to share their lives with him.
